Cleaning technology doesn’t need gloves, but you must be trained and know how to use it right to be safe and effective. Even though laser technology is thought to be one of the safest ways to clean metal and other materials, there are ways to break safety rules and hurt yourself or others. It’s not a good idea to use lasers to clean:
A place that isn’t well-run and doesn’t have clear signs to warn people that laser cleaning is being done close to vulnerable people. Any use other than what it was made for directly on the skin or body.
Non-metallic materials like wood, paper, or plastic should only be cleaned with the correct settings and in a designated “optical danger zone” if there isn’t enough filtering. If you set the cleaning solution to the wrong locations, your equipment could catch fire.
