6 Doable Ways To Keep Workplaces Covid-Free

In these unprecedented times, it’s more important than ever to take precautions to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. Many companies in Sugar Land, Texas, are instituting work-from-home policies to minimize the spread of Covid-19. But even if your company isn’t currently offering this option, there are still things you can do to create a Covid-free workplace. However, regularly visiting a Sugar Land COVID test center is a great idea. Which efforts can help workplaces be effective in fighting covid-19?

1. Sanitize, Sanitize, Sanitize

Make sure to clean and disinfect all common areas regularly. This includes doorknobs, light switches, countertops, keyboards, phones, and anything else that gets touched frequently. If possible, provide employees with their cleaning supplies to sanitize their workspace.

2. Encourage Good Hygiene

Encourage employees to wash their hands regularly and to avoid touching their faces. Provide hand sanitizer and tissues in common areas, and make sure there are plenty of soap and paper towel dispensers in restrooms. Remind employees to cough or sneeze into their elbows and dispose of used tissues immediately.

3. Promote Social Distancing

When possible, encourage employees to keep a safe distance from one another (at least six feet). It may mean rearranging furniture or workspaces to create more space or staggering shifts so that not everyone is in the office simultaneously. If possible, allow employees to work from home if they feel comfortable doing so.

4. Reduce People’s Traffic

If your workplace allows visitors, limit the number of visitors at any time, and make sure they maintain a safe distance from employees. Ask visitors to disinfect their hands upon entering the building and provide them with their cleaning supplies. Generally, high traffic increases the chances of virus spread.

You can encourage virtual meetings if possible. This will help reduce the number of people in the office at any given time and minimize the risk of exposure. Plus, it’s a great way to stay connected with coworkers from the comfort of your own home.

5. Increase Ventilation

Ensure the office is well-aerated by opening windows or using fans to circulate air. This will help reduce the concentration of viruses in the air and make it easier for employees to breathe.

It’s also a good idea to install an air purifier in the office. This will help remove contaminants from the air and improve indoor air quality.

If possible, consider expanding your office space to help reduce the number of people in the office at any given time. This will help minimize the risk of exposure and help employees feel more comfortable.

6. Stay Home If You’re Sick

The significance of isolation is that it can protect you from getting or spreading the virus. If people stay home when they are sick, there’s less risk of sharing and contracting the virus with coworkers. For example, if employees call in sick at least two days before they start feeling ill, they might be able to avoid being contagious as much as possible.

The most common symptoms of Covid-19 include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Other less common symptoms include fatigue, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, and diarrhea.

By taking the necessary precautions, you can help to create a Covid-free workplace. By promoting good hygiene, social distancing, and ventilation, you can help to reduce the spread of the virus. And by staying home if you’re sick, you can help protect yourself and your coworkers.
